Presentation of a revised proposal for the Campus Services and Bookstore building was postponed until the May 12 UT System Board of Regents meeting.

After the previous design was rejected by regents in November, Associate Vice President for Business Affairs Richard Dempsey said he expected revisions would be ready when the board met Feb. 4-5 in Dallas.

Any building project planned for a UT System campus must first be approved by the board.

Dempsey said the redesign is underway and will be ready in time for the next meeting.

UTD President David Daniel said the time frame for the project will be pushed forward several months as architects craft a proposal that addresses regents’ concerns, which included questions about aesthetic appeal and the durability of a 50- foot glass sail-like element.
