Sept. 30

A student reported a two vehicle hit and run accident in Lot H. Property damage only.

UTD Police impounded a vehicle for unpaid citations in Waterview Park Apartments (WP).

A student reported a theft of wallet from his vehicle in Phase 3, WP.

UTD Police responded to a domestic disturbance in WP. A student was arrested for Aggravated Assault Family Violence and a non-affiliated person was arrested for Assault Family Violence. The non-affiliated person was also issued a criminal trespass warning citation.

A student reported the theft of a bicycle from WP.

A student reported the theft of a wallet from a purse in the McDermott Library.  The wallet contained identification, credit card, debit card and $300.

Oct. 1

UTD Police responded to a loud noise complaint at a residence in WP.  A student was issued a campus citation for loud noise.

A student reported a burglary of a motor vehicle in Lot H. A cell phone, text book, laptop and the carrying case was taken from the vehicle. There was no sign of forced entry, or property damage.

A student reported possible incidents of harassment from another student at various campus locations. Investigation revealed no criminal offense.

Oct. 2

UTD Police issued two students municipal court citations in a parking area of WP for possession of alcohol by a minor.

A faculty member reported the theft of 10 composition notebooks from an office in Berkner Hall.

Oct. 3

A non-affiliated person reported the theft of a wallet from a residence in WP. The wallet contained identification and a debit card. The debit card was used off campus for at least two unauthorized transactions.

Oct. 4

A student reported the theft of a laptop computer from the lobby of Founders Hall (FH). The computer had been left unattended and unsecured.

A student reported the theft of a wallet from an undergraduate student lounge in the School of Management. The wallet contained identification, a credit card and $5.

Oct. 5

A student reported the theft of a purse from a classroom in the Multi-Purpose building. The purse contained identification and $10. The purse had been left unattended and unsecured.

A student reported a two vehicle hit and run accident in Lot A. Property damage only.

UTD Police and Richardson Fire Department responded to a medical assist in Lot F. A student was treated for injuries at the scene by RFD paramedics.

A one vehicle accident occurred in Lot G. Property damage only.

A student reported a two vehicle hit and run accident in WP, property damage only. The suspect vehicle was located and a possible suspect was identified.

Oct. 6

A staff member reported a two vehicle hit and run accident in Lot B. Property damage only.  The suspect vehicle was located and a possible suspect was identified.

UTD Police responded to a disturbance at a residence in WP. Three students and four non-affiliated persons were issued court citations for Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor.  The four non-affiliated persons were issued Criminal Trespass Warning citations.

Oct. 7

A student reported an incident of criminal trespass at a residence in WP.  The complainant refused to provide suspect information and requested no criminal charges be pursued.

Oct. 8

A student reported a suspicious person inside a lab in Cecil Green Hall. The complainant described the person as a  6'1" black male, wearing a t-shirt and shorts and carrying a blue back pack.  The suspicious person had left the area prior to the arrival of UTD Police.

UTD Police responded to a complaint of solicitation at WP. A non-affiliated person was identified and issued a criminal trespass warning citation.

Oct. 9

UTD Police responded to a loud noise complaint at a residence in WP.  Four students were issued campus citations for loud noise and consumption of alcohol by a minor.

A student reported criminal mischief damage to a vehicle in WP.

A student reported the theft of a motor vehicle from WP. Investigation led to the recovery of the vehicle in the city of Plano.

Oct. 11

A staff member reported a one vehicle accident on Service Drive. Property damage only.

A staff member reported the theft of a computer cable from the McDermott Library.

A student reported the theft of a backpack from a hallway in FH. The backpack contained textbooks, credit cards, identification and $10.  The backpack had been left unattended and unsecured.
