About The UTD Mercury

Student newspaper for the University of Texas at Dallas

Since 1980, The UTD Mercury has been the only student newspaper at The University of Texas at Dallas. We publish 7,000 copies at two week intervals on Mondays during the fall and spring semesters except holidays and exam periods, and once every three weeks during the summer. Copies of the current publication can be picked up for free around campus or by stopping in the newsroom for additional copies.

The UTD Mercury newsroom is located in the Student Union, upper level at SU2.416 across from the Galaxy Rooms. If you have any questions about our publication or would like information on how you can join our team, please contact us.

Opinions expressed in The UTD Mercury are those of the writer and not necessarily those of the university administration, the University of Texas System Board of Regents or the Mercury Operating Board.

Advertising is accepted by The UTD Mercury on the basis that there is no discrimination by the advertiser in the offering of goods or services to any person, on any basis prohibited by applicable law. Evidence of discrimination will be the basis of denial of advertising space. The publication of advertising in The UTD Mercury does not constitute an endorsement of products or services by the newspaper, or The University of Texas at Dallas, or the governing board of the institution.
