Student fees create options

During the Student Government meeting today, UTD President David Daniel spoke about current developments and took questions regarding possibilities.

As campus enrollment expands, more options are viable for aspects of student life. Student fees can fund student life facilities such as fraternity and sorority houses as well as worship centers, if students vote on them, Daniel said. 

Daniel emphasized getting involved on campus beyond academics, in response to a senator's query about what he most wanted for students.

Interestingly enough,as one of the members of a fraternity housing committee, this is the first we've ever heard about student fees paying for Greek housing. The current rules state that in order to even be given land for a house, we have to present proof that we've raised half of the money and have an outlined budget to raise the rest.

You moron, SG didn't ask for or do either of those things. They were just used by Dr. Daniel as examples of things students could have if we voted for them.
