Student Government meeting: Oct. 21

The following is a breakdown of some actions taken at the Oct. 21 Student Government (SG) meeting. Full minutes of all meetings can be found at www.utdallas.edu/student/sg/minutes/index.html.

• Sent draft of letter to Undergraduate Education Dean Michael Coleman asking faculty to give honorary A+ . These have no effect on UTD GPA, but some graduate programs in universities do.
• Seeks methods to get more students vaccinated for meningitis
• Reported Waterview Park approved for new and enhanced wireless internet.
• Allocated up to $1,750 for Know Your Rights Day
• Allocated up to $800 for SG hoodies and allocated up to an additional $400 for SG t-shirts
• Allocated up to $500 to Oxfam America's Hunger Banquet, Kappa Alpha Theta's Rock the CASA and Zeta Beta Tau's Charity Poker Tournament
